At the laboratory of KÂR Katılım Altın Rafinerisi A.Ş., purity and elemental composition analyses of gold and silver samples are carried out in alignment with international standards. The laboratory provides analytical support for raw material intake, refining, and final product quality control processes.
The choice of analytical method is determined by the nature of the sample and the requirements of the analysis requested. All measurements are conducted in conjunction with appropriate sample preparation, instrument calibration, reference material use, and quality control procedures, with results recorded in a fully traceable manner.
Within the scope of the Private Assay Office Authorisation Certificate held by the Company, gold and silver assay determinations are carried out as permitted under the terms of the certificate.
Our Analytical Methods
Cupellation (Fire Assay)
This method, used for the determination of gold purity, is applied in accordance with ISO 11426, taking into account the specific characteristics of the sample.
ICP-OES Analysis
Used for the quantitative determination of the elemental composition and impurity content of appropriately prepared samples.
XRF Analysis
Enables rapid and predominantly non-destructive examination of the elemental composition of precious metal and other metal-containing samples. Applied in preliminary assessment and quality control processes.
Automated Titration
A potentiometric titration method used for the determination of silver purity, applied in accordance with ISO 13756 for suitable samples.
